I'm all for people striking it out, trying to make it as a reviewer, but you're really going to have to work on your writing. First, you have to do quality control on your articles. It's 'you and up to three friends'. If you don't get your facts straight right from the start, (and it's not only this review, in Dead Space 2 you claimed there were only two new enemies), people won't take you seriously.

Secondly, you should write professionally. Remember, this isn't a forum, you're a reviewer, people listen to what you have to say. They want your opinion to decide whether to buy a game or not. The following sounds quite halfhearted:

"Although this can be a fun game, there are a lot of bugs in multiplayer mode (and a few in single player) that ruin the gameplay! The developers make new patches every day! So, be prepared for some glitches and crashes."

It sounds more like something somebody on a forum would say, not what you'd hear in a review, understand? Use your vocabulary. There's an entire language out there for you to use, don't be scared to use words that makes your review sound fancy or pompous.

Then, thirdly, the following extract:

"The games mechanics use a variety of keys. These keys control your element powers and you can combine up to 5 powers to make a spell."

That's pretty much the selling point of the game, yet it's compressed into a single, teeny tiny paragraph. Seeing as this is what the game is built around, it deserves about half the review, at the least, two sentences are not nearly enough. I couldn't gather your opinion on how well this magic system works at all, and that's why I wanted to read the review, so you understand why this is a bad thing? Give credit to the parts of a game that deserves it, and allocate enough space to them.

Then lastly, the last part of the review feels rushed. I can understand it can get really tiresome when writing for long times at a time, but never rush anything. know it's tempting to finish smething as soon as possible just to get it online, but rushing it is the worst thing you can do. You can spot when something was written in a rush almost immediately. Rather save the part you've written, and come back and finish it up later.

I don't think I said that the plot was disappointing. Quite the contrary, I think it's actually very good, my only issue being that they recycled Reznov from World at War. Although they did make changes to his character, turning from a patriotic, inspiring leader, to a betrayed, bitter man obsessed with revenge.

I think you're right though. I think I'll give Black Ops a full run through and do a formal review.

I do have an issue with shortness of Campaign but believe me, Black Ops was much more satisfying then FFXIII. I played XIII and its basically the most confusing, nonsensical, padded out, bore of a game. I'd rather have a short and sweet game like Black Ops then a dull Final Fantasy.

I have not played the multiplayer, but I think I will try it out. A very good friend of mine played it, and he said that it was actually balanced.

Yeah MW2 was broken as all hell, which is why I'm being very cautious with Black Ops.

I don't see how I'm discredited for liking certain aspects of MW2. I just preferred the over the top action vibe of MW2 as opposed to Black Ops, but its just my personal preference. I do think Black Ops has one of the strongest narratives I've seen in COD yet, but the difficulty curb seemed a bit too low. Maybe I'm just to used to playing shooters.
